Where are you located?

How long have you been in business? We have been in business since 1962. In those years we have grown from a regional sewing distributor to a national distributor of Laurastar Ironing Systems and Sylvia Sewing Cabinets and an E-tailer selling over 15,000 products - and we are adding more all the time!

How long does it take to get my order? We process and ship all orders paid on-line within 48 business hours. On the rare occasion that an item is back-ordered, we will contact you to discuss the estimated time of delivery. Can I track my package? You will get an e-mail with tracking information when the order ships. If you have concerns about the status of your order please call us. You may also log into your account and find tracking information.

Can I change my order? Because of our automated order processing system, orders are electronically approved and transmitted when you submit the order. As a result, changes cannot be made to your order once it is complete. If you want to add to your order, simply place a new one. Call us for help at 1-800-428-2804 if your order contains an error. 

Are your products new? Yes, our products are new, although we do sell some factory-serviced products when available. Refer to individual product pages for designated factory serviced (FS) or refurbished products when available. We do support a 90 day limited warranted on FS and refurbished products.

What are Factory Serviced products? We are able to offer incredible savings on some products that are available factory serviced or termed refurbished. Factory serviced or refurbished products have been returned to the manufacturer for a variety of reasons including: returns to the retail store of purchase, items with a cosmetic blemish, demonstration units and items with slight defects. In addition, new items that are overstocks may be labeled factory serviced. In most instances, the product is shipped to the factory, inspected, restored to original factory specifications if required, tested and repackaged. Some of these products may have been tested and repackaged by our own trained technicians. These products cannot be sold as new, so they are considered "factory serviced" or “refurbished”. Because of the rigorous inspection and testing process, the defect rate of factory serviced products is actually much lower than that on new items sold.

How long are these prices good for? The current price is on the website. However, our prices are subject to change without notice, depending on our supply. It is possible on popular items that the price can change between the time you placed it in your cart and the time you actually clicked on process the order.

Do you add sales tax? ShopJoya.com is NOT required to collect sales tax for ANY orders. We are located in the state of Oregon which does not have sales tax.

What are the manufacturer’s warranties? Where applicable, the manufacturer’s warranty information is noted on the product page. You can also contact us for a copy of the manufacturer’s warranty if it is not on the product page. Will a local dealer service a machine purchased from ShopJoya.com? Dealers are not under any contractual obligation to provide free service. We will service and re-deliver any home products we sold within the contiguous U.S. needing warranty service within the first 30 days at our cost. You must ship in the original box with original factory packing.

Do you match prices? If you find an identical item that is in stock with a lower price, we’ll do our best to match the price. Price matches are valid only BEFORE you place your order. When comparing prices, availability, extended warranty, shipping and taxes will be included in our price match decision.

How do I learn how to use my machine? If you find that the instruction book is not adequate for your needs, inquire about the availability of instructional videos, supplemental workbooks, etc. that might apply to your model, or call 800-428-2804 for customer service, or e-mail us for on-line support. We can solve many operational, mechanical, or technical service problems on the phone, via e-mail, or fax. How can I get more information on a specific product? If you cannot find the product information you are looking for, e-mail us or call at 1-800-428-2804 within the U.S.

What if I am overseas with 220 volt power outlets? We currently sell and ship to customers within the U.S. We do have 220 volt models available on certain ironing products that work well on board 220 volt ships, yachts and boats. Call 1-800-428-2804 for more information.

What if my order arrives damaged? If you received your order and it is damaged, call us immediately 1-800-428-2804. If your order is to be delivered by a freight company, please inspect contents before signing acceptance and note any package damage on the bill of lading. If contents inside are damaged, refuse delivery and don't sign the delivery ticket. Once you sign for the shipment, it is your responsibility to file a claim.
